Title sequences - the conventional order

In most films that has a genre based on thriller; the title always seems to be in the beginning parts of the opening of the film. In some cases this may vary.

The title sequences is usually set out as a hierarchy structure starting with the most importnat - the 'production' company all the way to 'Director of photography'. Further on after the direct of photography is introduced, we then see the most important two roles of the 'diretctor' and the 'writer'. This is how it follows ;

  • Production company ident
  • Production company titles
  • Production + distribution company
  • Film title
  • Cast (actors)
  • Casting
  • Costume
  • Music Suprevisor
  • Music by
  • Editor
  • Prod design
  • Director of photography
  • WRITER
  • DIRECTOR
This order may be changed just by minor changes such as placing the music before the cast.
As a visual image I would be using the film "Momento" as an example for how the title sequences is presented;
Introduction of the Production company Ident.
The production company name again is repeated.
Distribution company name follows after the Production
 company name
Again, talks about a production team used in the making of the film.
The director is introduced earlier here which contradicts
 the original sequence.
