Thrillers have a very wide range target audience consequently because they are put into sub-genres which attract different audiences. In general I would say their audience would range from 15-30 and majority are women as women prefer more or less any type of thriller compared to action or comedy which men tend to go for. As you get older people tend to like thrillers more as well because thriller have more depth into their story line
Depending on the type of sub-genre, conveys what type of audience it attracts: A lot of psychological/horror thrillers aim at a higher aged audience as it can contain explicit imagery.
